I wish the same could be said of every recruiter, after the Marine recruiter turned me away, the Navy recruiter down the hall lied like a rug, a fact that I still resent to some extent 45 years later. He played games with my life.
It is amazing the memories that one can carry with you. I could go on all day about my first experiences with the various Service Recruiters. And I probably will...

UPDATE:

I just received a response from the e-mail I sent yesterday evening:
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, ASVAB scores from the Career Exploration Program (taken through your high school), are only kept for two years. However, if you took the test through a recruiter, your scores are likely in our database. If this is the case, please respond with a phone number where you can be reached and our database manager will contact you to gather additional information to locate your score.

Ah, recruiters. Never dealt with one. I was "recruited" by my "Uncle." Sam was his name. Sent me a nice letter that said, "Greeting" at the top. Very nice of him. Told me to "report" for a physical on a specific day, and bring my bags with me. Guess he wanted to make sure I would be "comfy." Within hours after the tests and physical, I was on a bus to Ft. Dix, NJ. Arrived in the pouring rain at midnight. But they fed us "chow." It was in an empty mess hall, with one large tub of SOS and one large tub of toast. Never saw that before. I asked the server what it was, and he said, "that's yer chow!" Wow, they said we'd get fed chow in the Army 3 times a day, so now I was really worried ;-)
