Folks don't over complicate it. This is not that hard, if your life is in danger, use that force necessary to neutralize the threat. There is nothing in Texas law that says the bad guy has to be armed to be a threat. Most folks don't carry stun guns or tasers as a less than lethal alternative. So you are limited to use of force or deadly force. The only requirement is that you feel your life is in danger. Granted DA, jury and judge will second guess you, but the reality is, if it is a just shoot, history shows our juries in Harris County will have your back.
