If you are not beyond the 60th day, it won't do any good.

Oh, I know, I'm familiar with the law regarding approval/denial and what not within 60 days. I was just asking some questions.

Well you would think with enough people contacting their state reps, some govt official would start to get pushing to get the DPS in shape to be on time regardless of the higher rate of apps received. I am sure they do not get contacted via email, letter and call as many tiems wanting better roads or cleaner air and they do about delays in CHL apps lol!

Finally at least the DPS website says "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

Waiting on the plastic!!!

When I contacted my state rep., his office helped to push my application through, but they also told me they were working on getting extra manpower to clear the Harris county backlog.

Got an e-mail reply from Rep Callegari's office saying that they contacted DPS on my behalf. DPS told them that Sen. Patrick's office had already spoken with them regarding the matter. Hope to see the magic words on the DPS website very soon! Many thanks to Rep. Callegari's and Sen. Patrick's staff!

EDIT: Just saw these magic words on the DPS website: Application Completed - license issued or certificate active :woohoo

I took the class on October 25, 2008 in Sanger Texas. I received the license on January 14, 2009.
