I like that the app informs me when I approach a posted location, but I don't understand why it doesn't whistle Dixie, keep my coffee warm, and have donuts waiting for me at the office each morning. You guys really need to work on that. :biggrinjester:
Great app. You guys are awesome.

How exactly are the proximity alerts suppose to work? Does the app have to be open in the background or does the setting just have to be turned on? I was inside of a 30.07 location for over an hour and it never triggered. I even turned my location settings to "high accuracy" just to be sure, and nothing. My setting was also set to 1 minute to trigger and event without anything happening.
There is a background service that runs whether the app is opened, backgrounded, or not running. In order to start the background service, you need to start up the app at least once. If you rebooted your phone recently, but have not started the app, the background service will not be running until you start up the app. On the next release, I'm going to change this so that the background service starts when the phone is rebooted.

Also there's a couple of things you should check. First, make sure you have Location Services turned on for your device. If you have location services turned on (at the device level), make sure that you have not denied access to Location Services for the Texas3006 app. Sometimes 3rd party "battery saver" apps can do this to other apps that rely on certain services. Higher version of Android, and 3rd party custom ROMS also give you this access, so make sure that the the Texas3006 app wasn't manually denied access to Location Services.

Also, you can manually disable alerts for specific businesses. You can do this in the Business Details Page. Make sure this isn't the case either by checking the Business Details page. Also on the Settings Page for Proximity Alerts, make sure you have the business types and restrictions enabled too (i.e. you did not disable alerts for 30.07 signs).

If you continue to have issues, send me an e-mail to androidhelp@texas3006.com and I can help you troubleshoot it further. If you send a support e-mail, I'll need the following info to see if there's an error report from the service:

* Approximate Date & Time you were at this location and the service did not notify you.
* App Version Number
* OS Version Number
* Device Manufacture and Model
* The Business Name and Address of the Location that did not fire an Alert.
* A screen shot of your settings page for Proximity Alerts.

With that info, I can see if the Proximity Alert Service reported an error or not.

Thanks!

Yes. Search for Texas 30.06 in the Google Play store.
Got it. Installed it today. Love it so far! Keep up the good work!
