When we went from 2006 - 2013 I carried every year in my cargo shorts. Never had an issue. A shame to hear about the new militant attitude of the authori-ties.

So is this a case of private security wanding and preventing access to public streets by lawful LTC? And if APD is standing by to arrest you, what would be the charge?LDP wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:54 pm I heard first-hand from friends who went that they have security personnel who wand every guest and search all belongings.
No legal 30.06 or 30.07 signs but you WILL be ejected without a refund if you are a legally armed citizen.
APD is standing by to arrest anyone who disagrees with their leftist ruling. Whether you are legal or not, does not seem to matter. They arrest you first, you sort it out with lawyers later.
Fun tidbit: despite the event being fenced off, any armed assailant can jump the fence and kill a lot of people, just like in Gilroy CA.
Fences don't stop armed bad guys. Armed good guys do.
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

I am just speculating but I would think they would only arrest you if you refused to leave after being verbally 30:06ed. If this is the case, would they call it trespassing?ScottDLS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 11:04 pmSo is this a case of private security wanding and preventing access to public streets by lawful LTC? I too would love to know what charge they would arrest you for. This is taking place in Zilker park, which last time I checked was owned by the taxpayers. It is not a prohibited location by statute so 30.06/7 should not apply.
