There exists a variety of 12 step programs.

I'm very interested in reading the follow up statistics regarding how effective they truly are.

Finding these numbers is quite an exercise in frustration.

My conclusion: Irrespective of their origin, they don't work nearly as successfully as claimed.

Many folks would do just as well on their own if they're committed to succeed.
