If there was an investigation in a shooting death of an ex even the most inept prosecutor is going to get a warrant for the suspects computer. Finding this thread would be child's play.

Scott, Handog's situation (your example) was a simple case of accidental exposure. Do you really want to compare that to what "hypothetically" would be a murder investigation? If they went after information on this forum in that case (again, your example - I don't know if they did or not) do you not think that a prosecutor seeking a murder charge wouldn't find this thread? I don't know about purple unicorns, but there sure do seem to be some heads buried in the sand.

Training with someone like Tim Oxley. Preparation of your home, solid wood doors secured with at least half a dozen 2 or 3 gauge nails driven in the door frame leaving about 1/3" exposed after cutting off the head. Then holes are drilled in the door so when it closes the hinge side is like a bank vault. The latch side gets a couple of double throw deadbolts 1/3 and 2/3 of the way top to bottom. If she or any thugs she brings along can kick that door in the problem is exponentially worse than anyone imagines. Then I'd stay inside, call 911, wait for the police to come gather them up, and be prepared just in case they get in somehow.

For your wife, maybe someone can help her eventually realize that guns don't one day decide to shoot someone, that it's the other way around. Hopefully she can overcome it and later get her own CHL, or at least practice enough with yours to be capable should she need to be.

There are much simpler and safer ways to reinforce doors without creating impediments to emergency egress.

It's pretty embarrassing to die from smoke inhalation because, while you're blinded and choking, you can't figure out how to undo all those locks you put on the door.

Nahhh...clear the cache. Detectives are not the NSA and everybody doesn't get monitored 24/7, unless you get backwards with the RIAA .

Maybe TXCHL forum logs get subpoenaed? Seems like a stretch. I just don't think it's that relevant to a murder investigation. My opinion...worth what U paid for it.

Whether you have one lock in the doorknob or that plus one double throw deadbolt just above the know or two double throw deadbolts, only one more lock than the vast majority have, they should all be keyed alike so 2 maybe 3 extra seconds.

I suggest checking with your insurance company before putting double cylinder (key inside and outside) locks on doors that may be needed for emergency exit. Many take a very dim view of that - to the point of denying claims if it's done.

Why work hard to do it wrong when it's so easy to do it right?
