How many of you know that Google is Anti-Second Amendment! I sure didn't until this morning. Read my emails and low and behold a friend of mine's fledgling site which was primarily initiated for Texas CHL Holders had the GOOGLEAds pulled. Don't know about you guys but I am seriouly thinking about boycotting GOOGLE. I am really growing sick of Iron-headed people who are against the ownership of guns by people that a law abiding citizens. How about you?

Yep. Google won't handle paid ads for firearms or ammunition. Try looking up any random product, like cameras, and note the ads on the right. Then try a firearms phrase like "colt 1911."
What annoys me is that they classify firearms with things like Nazi memorabilia and illegal drugs.
eBay and PayPal have similar policies.
The people who run Google are idealists of the leftist persuasion. I don't know if the company's policies are determined by that or their lawyers.

It may be a policy dictated by the lawyers for them. Any site that is accessible from Europe and has servers in Europe is subject to lawsuits under European Union jurisdiction.seamusTX wrote:Yep. Yahoo was sued by Germany a couple years ago when someone tried to sell Nazi memorabilia. The same can happen to any company that is accessible (the lawsuit may be tossed out, but the owner would still have to fight it out in a European court first).

I understand about the Nazi memorabilia and illegal drugs and pornography. It just annoys me that they lump legal weapons in with illegal things.Mithras61 wrote:It may be a policy dictated by the lawyers for them. I understand. By the same lights, it annoys me that we have to make an attempt to comply with European censorship. It sucks, but the alternatives to not complying can be expensive.seamusTX wrote:I understand about the Nazi memorabilia and illegal drugs and pornography. You might check out http://www.goodsearch.com/.phddan wrote:Is there a good alternative to google??
They give good search returns, plus donate profits to the charity you designate.
You might try Windows Live Search. I typed in concealed handguns and got this.

Its amazing to me that they lump sales or promotion of weapons into all this other crud!!!! what a liberal croc!Site Content
