Checking application status

#1

Post by Bobby23 »

Went to the Regulatory Services Division web site, but I don't see a darn thing about checking your application status.

One decision branch for new users applying, another for returning users.

I selected returning user. No Joy.

Am I missing something obvious? The new user route would appear to start a new application process which I don't want to do.

Believe you're right. Waiting is hard...and kind of old fashioned. Maybe I'll develop character. :-)

Topic running in the waiting room: http://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=73373" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

appears to be a system update at DPS.

So, of course, I got my license today, 20 days after submitting my application.

This thread can officially be killed. :anamatedbanana

It appears to be that if you only see the link to apply as an instructor then you are not approved yet and they are still working on it. If you see a place on the right side of that box to change your demographics then, it appears, that this means you have been approved and your licence is ready to be mailed (or already has been). But this new screen has only been in place since Saturday so we are all still trying to see if this is truly the case.

This subject is being talked about on another thread .... maybe hop on over there and join in the conversation ....you'll find more people having similar issues and will learn more

DPS is upgrading the online status page & it will take a long time, most likely until Aug. 1st.

Much faster to apply online. Scan and attach your CHL-100 and schedule fingerprints. Got my plastic in 2 weeks.
