I wonder what they'll ask if you've no employer as in my situation?

I've been retired for over twenty years.

Would they ask my neighbors about me and if so what kind of questions?

Of course, most of my close by neighbors are either CHL holders themselves or are avid gun folk.

I imagine putting "Retired" would suffice.

I put "retired" on my change of address request and got my new card back in five days. I was impressed by DPS efficiency.
