Hotel in NE Fort Worth that allows my gun with me

#1

Post by Don1911 »

I need to stay in a hotel for couple days in NE Fort Worth, NRH , or HEB. Does anyone know what hotels don't have rules against me having my gun in this area. I have CHL.

As per new law, the hotel can not ban you from bearing your firearms unless they specifically state than when you are booking. Call and ask.

I've had several visitors stay in the La Quinta near Northeast Mall. All said it was a nice place.
I've not been in the lobby recently, but as of about 6 months ago (my last visit) I didn't see any 30.06 signs.
Their web site does not show any gun restrictions : HERE or HERE
They are not listed on Texas3006.com (in fact, texas3006.com does not have any listings for any LaQ's).

If a hotel does not allow firearms, is it required to also have a 30.06 sign?

I have never seen a hotel with a valid 30.06 sign. But then, I don't get out much these days. :tiphat:

Not a "Road Warrior," but do travel a lot and have never seen a 30-06 sign on any of the hotels I stay in and have never seen it on a web site. Only time it has even come up was when I was required to stay at a military facility and even then, call ahead and get the procedure (usually stop off base, clear and secure in trunk, declare to gate guard and go direct to armory to check weapon in for stay, at least that was what Lackland did the last time I stayed there). I usually stay at one of the properties of a big, national chain and am an "Elite" member in their frequent stay program. If they ever told me I could not have my firearm with me, I would notify their corporate HQ why I was no longer staying in their properties and why I was actively advising my colleagues to not stay with them. However, barring a 30-06 sign, concealed is concealed!

Bill If I am remembering correctly all Hiltons have them as well as the other big fancy one, can't remember the name but its a higher priced like Hiltons.

I know the Hilton downtown Houston by GRB has one, its unenforceable but they still have it

I recently stayed at the Hilton by IAH and don't recall seeing one.

I also attended a seminar in December at the Courtyard Marriot and didn't see a sign there.

I'm staying at the hilton in Austin next week. Anyone know if it's posted?

edit:

I just checked the 3006 and found that it is indeed posted. :banghead:
I find it disturbing that the castle law wouldn't apply to where you are temporarily residing.
