Re: San Antonio meet and greet set
Hey, Longdog, thank you very much for bringing me the book about Sam Houston. I have finished as much as I can of it, being highly allergic to fiction, even to the point of cancelling newspaper subscriptions.
Is the author related to you by chance?
BTW, I was in Wimberley today, for the first time since Boy Scout Camp in 1956-57. It's only about 15 miles from here.

Really?! I guess I was not practicing full "situational awareness" as I didn't see you. But great fun. I have close ties with the drummer in the jazz band. :-) Between that and trying to find the rest of my family who got there late... but that's cool! Wish you'd have screamed across the auditorium or something. Ha ha.jayinsat wrote: BTW: I saw SlowDave afterward at St. Philips for the jazz concert and children's performance. What a coincidence.

She's an amazing drummer. I'm a drummer myself and I was mainly watching her. She's the first good drummer I've seen at that program. My daughter was the stage manager for the children's play. She's worked with SPC and Nina for the last 3 years. I tried to find you after the kids show but you'd left already.SlowDave wrote:Really?! Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll let her know and she'll be thrilled!jayinsat wrote:She's an amazing drummer. I'm a drummer myself and I was mainly watching her. Yeah, family was itching to get out and hadn't had lunch yet so we bailed right after the jazz thing--my bad. Catch you on the next SA subgroup get-together I hope!

If it weren't for you guys, I'd have been sitting there talking to myself.

If only I could find that old post/PM/e-mail.
I know about how there is no end to the good one can do if you don't care who gets the credit, but come on, now! Don't be shy!

I'm sure I've offered to buy you a beer once you get home to Texas - next time I'm in the SA area I'll look you up.JALLEN wrote:That's the spirit!Pecos wrote:JALLEN! Were still going to hold who ever that was to his offer. He still owes you a beer in front of the Alamo!!!!
