It's a tragedy the guy defending the girl missed the carjackers.

Well, that driver is obviously a racist. Eric and the gang at DOJ should investigate him for civil rights violations.

Did anyone notice that the story designated the 17 year old would be victim a "woman" instead of a "child"?

Ah, yes, the famed 'Devil's Triangle' area of northeast El Paso. Things do happen there in the wee hours, don't they?

The Fort Bliss Rod & Gun Club is just down the road. This story makes me resolve to visit the range more often.

How convenient. Guess 17 year olds are children when it suits the story.

How poorly written! I had to read it three times to figure out that the 50 year old and the 17 year old where in the same car!

I have noticed an uptick in criminal behavior in my own neighborhood here in El Paso. The population density in my area has increased over the last 8 years with the construction of many new apartment buildings. Traffic is getting worse and the loud music and fast or blinged out cars speeding through my residential neighborhood have gotten worse. I live in the NE and can't move away anytime time soon. There is Ghetto creep here. Today, I saw a shirtless man walking his pit bull with his butt exposed because his shorts were hanging off of his thighs. This is not an illegal activity (since his undergarment was still covering his skin) , but it is behavior that it is indicative to thug culture. I hate pulling up to a stoplight and getting the evil eyes from a car full of thugs in the lane next to me while I try and explain to my kids in the van with me that the expletives blaring from their music are not to be repeated as they glamorize it with loud bass that happens to be attractive to children who just want to dance and enjoy the rhythm. Talk about mixed messages....One has to wonder what four working age adult males are doing at 2:30 in the afternoon, riding around without shirts and playing obnoxious music. I could rant for days on this, but I won't.

"But he could have just gotten out and ran away, why would he shoot at those poor innocent robbers"

:banghead:

How anyone can look at this situation and be against the victims in the camaro standing their ground is beyond me.

It's almost like GHL people can defend them selves-Use deadly force as last resort & be completely justified. Then the AFTERMATH-Possably be arrested then drug through a session form Hell with lawyers & court session & most like end up Bankrupt. On top of that loose you wife & familey.
BUT!!!! Your alive!!!! :headscratch
