Costco anti conceal carry?
So I looked on Texas3006.com and did not find any listing for Costco stores. But I have been seeing posts about Costco memos found from a few years ago stating they are anti gun and do not allow them in the store. I personally have never seen a 30.06 sign at my local location. Anybody ever seen one?
Also, I ran across this site that does list it on a third party web page. Is that actually legal notice? It does not have the 30.06 verbage.

Nope. Not a legitimate posting. Carry on.
Hello. My name is Red and I used to carry a .45. Now I carry a 9mm and it's getting easier to admit every day.

I don't care what their policy is. No 30.6 sign, paper/card with 30.06 language, or oral notice means concealed carry is perfectly legal in Texas.Dirthawking wrote:So I looked on Texas3006.com and did not find any listing for Costco stores. The Costco in Kalispell doesn't have any kind of anti-gun notice that we've seen in four summers.

Search for Eric Scott if you want to know what Costco does to CHL holders.

If you are a member of Costco, I'm sure you carefully read all the fine print on the back of the application form when you joined. Eric Scott right after joining with his girl friend failed to read it. It cost him his life.baldeagle wrote:Search for Eric Scott if you want to know what Costco does to CHL holders.
I have not seen a no gun sign at a Costco, including the one in Las Vegas, where he was killed.
Supposedly the fine print on the application says members are not permitted to bring guns into the store.
If you make the mistake of printing or unconcealing part of the gun and it is noticed, they will call the police. If you are very careful, you may survive what follows.
Concealed is concealed.

LVPD did in Scott, not Costco.

We'll be going to Costco tomorrow and I will be carrying...unless I forget to strap it on.

Re: Costco anti conceal carry?
Wouldn't make any difference what's in the membership application - no 30.06 at the entrance is what counts. I carry there anytime I'm in Costco. They want to cancel my membership because I do (accidental expose), their loss, not mine. If i boycotted every 'rumored' anti-gun facility I'd probably starve to death, naked in the dark.

Actually the way I understand the law is that if it IS in the membership application you signed when joining they do not have to post a 30.06. Am I wrong?

Re: Costco anti conceal carry?
You are. There is nothing in the membership app about firearms at all. Additionally, if they ever do put it in the app, this is Texas, if the language isn't 30.06, then it is not legal notice.Dirthawking wrote:Actually the way I understand the law is that if it IS in the membership application you signed when joining they do not have to post a 30.06. Re: Costco anti conceal carry?
I see nothing in their terms that says guns are not allowed. This is the link the online sign up points to for terms and conditions of membership, and the same text is shown when you have to click that you agree to the conditions of membership:
