Personally, as long as their signs stay non-compliant, I will continue to eat there (armed) whenever the family gets together and wants to.
If, by some one in a million chance, some BG decides to hold up the place on that particular night, and I am there... well lets just say, I won't let TC hear the end of it. (assuming I survive )

Many of you resent the opinion of their management about CHL holders. I find it quite amusing that they put enough effort into forcing every store to post a non-compliant sign and expect me, a law abiding citizen, to abide by it.

There are lots of stupid people in the world. Luckily, a few of them run Taco Cabana. And as long as that is the case, they will continue to receive my money, and be in the presence of my gun.

Sorry if I nullify the valiant effort of a fellow member or two by continuing, but those tacos are just soooo good.

I thought about printing labels like that but something like "This sign means all law-abiding citizens who carry self-defense weapons are not allowed in here. It also means every criminal who carries weapons knows this is a gun-free zone. Ask yourself, does this sign make you feel safer?"

You know, with the VT shootings still on everybody's mind, and the fear of "gun free zones" at the forefront, this might not be a bad idea to start making the public more aware of their environment.

I'm not recommending this sign. It seems too abrupt and noticeable, and would be ripped down at the very sight. The picture would be necessary, or one like it, but perhaps a more subtle wording choice, so as not to alarm the sheep, but simply make them aware.

But technically, without permission, wouldn't this be vandalism?

Taco Cabana has made a decision based on a number of competing factors, to prohibit all weapons from our premises. I believe it is the best we can do to keep our customers and employees safe.

So how do they cut up the fajitas - with RUBBER knives?

I think an imaginative police officer could bust you for trespass or terroristic threats.

Since I made the suggestion, I confess I was taking the approach that Scotch taping a sign near, or over, their sign did not meet the requirements for criminal mischief.

I did feel it would make an impression on some customers and there could be some loss suffered by the company due to that.

Posters as a form of protest have a long history, but these days it seems easy to be arrested and charged for things that really are trivial.

During the Republican Party convention in New York in 2004, a protester built a machine that he used to put slogans on the sidewalks in chalk. He was arrested and had a rather hard time, IMHO. (Google Joshua Kinberg for details.)

It is amazing to see that people could spill all day about 2A rights, constitution and CHL laws and yet some are here discussing about knowingly breaking laws and yet hold up the umbrella of LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.
Where are the righteous ones? Don't act like y'all OVER 21 years old didn't know that posting a sign on someone's property was illegal. Just like posting on light poles, etc in public is ILLEGAL also. Don't come with everyone else do it so I can nonsense either. A few days ago, I said that some would have to be deceitful and lower your moral character since you couldn't get your way, now you are heading down that road.
