Anyone use their CHL for ID to vote?

On my voter registration card it says it's a viable form of ID. I can't imagine why you would but did anyone use their CHL just because you could? :patriot:

I just did, as to why? I felt it was an overt political statement on my part. :patriot:

I haven't voted yet today but was thinking about using it, just because I could. My place of business is actually a voting location today and the line has been out the door since 6am.

I recall for a while, the dps office didn't accept a CHL as a valid form of ID to get a replacement license. I guess it doesn't apply to polling locations. I won't be voting till later this afternoon, but I can imagine how long the lines are. People are ready for a change.

I used mine too and the polling persons never even batted an eye.

My voter registration card was accepted without any request for additional ID.

I wasn't asked for any ID, but the election judge was an old friend of mine.

They never asked for a ID. Voter Registration card was sufficient.

Yeah, the card is all you need. However, I was talking about using the CHL instead of voter card. There isn't really a reason to and it's true there is no need for a second form of ID.

I use either my voter certificate or my DL. This year I voted early and forgot to bring my card, so I used my DL.

Not sure what's the point of showing your CHL... to get a reaction from the clerk? to perhaps flash it in front of other people?

There's no point at all other than "just because". I was bored today and just thought I would ask.

Because we can.

Also, if more folks who do not have one know how many do and see what fine upstanding citizens we are, then they might get one too.
