Carry at Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Frisco

Hey guys, i tried searching and didn't come up with anything regarding my question.

My way-too-rich soon-to-be father-in-law bought us box office tickets to the Rough Riders game on Saturday, which will be played at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center in Frisco. I remember the venue coming into question before, but i can't remember when or where.

I pulled up a search on texas3006.com and found that somebody had posted an entry saying there was a 30.06, but they were unsure of it's validity. The comments were also controversial. Two people cited the fact all professional sporting events are off limits. Another person noted that not all events held at the venue are professional. Another person added that the letters may be too small and that white-on-glass may not be 'contrasting'. The last, and most recent, comment stated that the venue is owned by the city and any signage is null and void.

My questions are:

Are the Rough Riders considered professional?
Is the venue actually owned by the city?
If the venue is owned by the city do 'professional sports' restrictions still apply?
Lastly, and simply, can i carry there?

I know their not telling you what you want to hear...but It is a NO CARRY facility. The RoughRiders play in their own stadium, not the Dr. Pepper Star Center.

My question is why is it a No Carry facility?

The tickets are for the Stars Center.

The Rough Riders are considered semi-pro, are they not?

The venue is owned by the city, is it not?

I'm not saying i don't believe anyone....i just want to know why. I don't leave my gun at home just because somebody said so.

Are the Rough Riders considered professional?

You're talking about the Frisco Rough Riders, correct? If so, they are a part of Minor League baseball which is considered professional baseball.

Ill be attending a game in the near future. Where does it define minor league teams as professional? I've never been to a minor league rough riders game

I'm pretty sure minor league players and coaches are still paid for their playing, which makes them professionals. Maybe not as good as major league players but most hope to make it to the big time with the pay increases that come with it. Minor league baseball games would be off limits, recreational softball league would not.

Minor leagues are not MLB, but they are still pros and paid to play. The RoughRider website is on milb.com, probably for minor league baseball.

I, too, was confused by the DP Stars Center thing until I looked them up again and discovered it is the DP BallPark. Minor mistake by the OP.
