Galco King Tuk

My Galco King Tuk for Glocks arrived today. This is my first experience with this style of holster. Wow have I been missing out this thing is great!! It even puts my Royal Gurad to shame on the comfort factor. Looks like one for 1911 style pistols will be ordered shortly.

I love mine also...until I discovered DM Bullard out of Azle Tx. Dont get me wrong, still like my Galcos.

It's a good holster. In the summer time, I use my King Tuk on a regular basis and I also use it for IDPA.

I have one for my P220 and one for my 1911. I love the cost to quality ratio, although I did find it a bit over finished and stiff at first. You might try shredding the backside with your favorite cutting/sanding device. I did that to both of mine, first with a belt sander, then with a cheese grater, running it at different angles. This gives it more clinging potential to your side (unless you go commando I would imagine), much like what I am picturing the rough backside on a SuperTuck is like. Once the leather gets broken in, and loosens up, it is awesome.

Love my 1911 King Tuk for my Kimber. Great holster for the money!

I never thought about roughing up the backside of the holster though. That would really come in handy, especially when I wear shorts in the summer with it. Thanks for the tip.

I have one for my 1911, it's pretty comfortable. It's hard to tell what makes the difference, but I like my Crossbreed Supertuck in "Horsehide" just a little better. Maybe the roughing up of the leather would make the difference. May have to try that.

I bought the Galco for a 5" 1911 and ended up trimming some leather off the bottom to make it more comfortable with my three inch Ultra. Pretty good rig.

Got one and it is my primary carry holster (at this point.) It's well made, reasonably priced, and off-the-shelf. Totally pleased with mine.

I bought one for my Kahr P40, and I'm hooked. I gave one away to a friend for his Glock 23 for Christmas. And he's hooked now.

It's by far the most comfortable holster I own.

Nope, actually made in Republic, Missouri. However, I agree they are an awesome holster. I love mine. The King Tuk is very similar.
