I carry all the time. I'm there about 5 days a week and carry every one of them. The pastor knows and I know of 12 folks that are carrying with an average attendance of about 600 on a Sunday morning. Interestingly, 4 of the folks carrying are actually in the worship team . If you are gonna start something and point at the stage, there will be 4 fingers pointing back at you very quickly

I may be the exception. I have carried at church before but thinking about it has made me realize it is rare. I need to change that.

I play on our praise team and it's a pretty tactical spot to be I can watch all the entrances, another of our CHLers does the sound and he has an awesome birds eye view of the sanctuary

I only carry on days that end in Y (or y) and then everyplace that is legal. If church service falls on one of those days we are carrying.

I think it is necessary today to have protection in the church but in some places conditions demand it. "El Padre Pistolas" was the name of a popular Mexican movie of the early 60's.

I ran across this article a few years after a priest friend of mine passed away and kept the link because it reminded me of him. This thread caused me to remember him and the link. We hiked together and he always pack a gun to ward off the four legged threats and told me he kept it under his robes in church. His second idol was "Padre Pistolas" (the movie one).
I wonder if the priest in the Post article is alive still. I think he needs a bigger weapon weapon down there now.

Yes, I carry to church every Sunday, but feel I must keep it quiet since
I believe my fellow church members aren't of the same mind.
Carrying at church is easy since I try to wear a sport jacket or suit and
this makes it easy to carry two 10 round mags at 8 o'clock in a Kydex magholder,
and my PT-111 in an OWB at 4 o'clock.
This past Sunday something unexpected happened where I thought I would be outed,
but it didn't quite happen. My female assistant preacher always gives everyone a hug
as they leave the sanctuary. She commented on my new suit, and I said that I hadn't
remembered to remove the threads holding the outer side pockets closed.
She grabs my unbuttoned jacket, flips it open on the gun side, and starts examining the inside of
the jacket to see if the pockets are real or fake. Luckily she missed the Taurus!
There's another gal at my church that is CHL, but she didn't feel it was "right" to carry
her .38 snubby to church. I told her she should, but have never confirmed that she has started
to carry it. She told me that she has a .38 snubby positioned in most rooms of her house!

I carry in church as often as George C. Scott said famously about how often he read the Bible in Patton. :)
