I'm from Greenville...
I now live in Grapevine, but grew up in Greenville (Ardis Heights, 704 Forrester) and was a police officer for 8 years there from 1987 to 1995. You may have heard of me, spent a lot of time being written about in the Greenville Herald Banner.
I was a K-9 officer for a while. Founded and was the president of the Greenville Police Patrolman's Union, had a nice thick stack of commendentions and an equally thick stack of reprimands because the DA and CA loved my reports and high volume of arrests and the brass wanted me writing traffic tickets instead of busting burglars and crack dealers...I'm not bitter, though
My hat's off to all the LEO's out there who stick with it and deal with the frustrations of the legal system. Eight years was all I and my marriage could handle. Guess if I'd just done my job and stayed out of the politics it would have been easier. They have a great Chief of Police out there now, though, if it's still Chief Paris. He took over a year before I resigned.
Guess it was a simple yes or no question...see why I kept myself so frustrated? I was more suscinct when testifying in court!

I took the wrong road in a nighttime rainstorm driving in from hog hunting a year or three ago and wound up in Greenville. Does that count?
