breakfast and the wally walk
I recieved my CHL last week, but due to working 2 weeks straight I haven't been able to complete the Wally Walk until this morning. We decided to go to the Bluebonnet Cafe for breakfast and then did a little shopping at Wal-Mart. After we were finished and back in the car I said, " well, I did it." My wife asked what I was talking about and I said that I had just done my wally walk. She said, "You're packin'?" She had no idea that I was carrying. I guess if she didn't even notice that no one else did.....
BTW I'm carrying a SP101 in a Simply Rugged silver dollar pancake holster. I really like the holster as it's really comfortable and tucks the pistol away nicely for a OWB holster.

Way to go hungry hunter. You are now "official." The SP101 is a great choice.hungry hunter wrote:I recieved my CHL last week, but due to working 2 weeks straight I haven't been able to complete the Wally Walk until this morning. I'll be in that same Wal-Mart later this week, and usually stop by Bowles Muffler and Gun shop across the street, while I'm there, that's the FFL (Larry Bowles) I use when ordering stuff.

Re: breakfast and the wally walk
Thanks everyone.
I live in the Marble Falls area and we try to go to the Bluebonnet at least a couple of times a month for breakfast. The trick is to get there early before the tourists show up.
Today we went took a trip over to get BBQ at Smitty's in Lockhart and then went over to Cabela's. Carried today too and I was a little less self-concious about it.
The only problem is that if I keep eating like this - I won't be able to wear a IWB holster without getting some bigger pants.

Muffler and gun shop? Does he build mufflers for guns?

You're either going to have to buy bigger britches or go with OWB.hungry hunter wrote: The only problem is that if I keep eating like this - I won't be able to wear a IWB holster without getting some bigger pants.

Re: breakfast and the wally walk
same thing with my wife, i've had my CHL for a few weeks now and she hasn't been able to tell whether or not i'm carrying unless she accidentally touches it or something like that. in fact the other day we were grocery shopping and she was convinced that i wasn't carrying, she was looking for it and said she couldn't see it (i was wearing a t shirt too).hungry hunter wrote:She had no idea that I was carrying. at first i was a little anxious about carrying in public, but i've quickly realized that most people are so oblivious to the world around them that it's very unlikely anyone will notice unless they're looking for it.
