caliber size requirement, is there one?

I understand during the proficiency exam that we were required to operate a 32 or above, but what is the stipulation on carry. Can we carry
anything as far as caliber? Thanks

As far as caliber, you can carry anything that you can conceal.

Well, there is no actual requirement, but if you don't carry a .45, people might talk a little, maybe even laugh........

I read somewhere the other day that people talk about .45's, shoot 9mm's and carry .38''s!

I have a feeling that there is a great deal of truth to that statement. Of course it does not apply to all, but admit it.....it is true for some of you!

Seriously???

I recall there was a caliber restriction to the small size, nothing less than a .32

But like some are thinking (so am I) that that has been eliminated...

Going to go check the instant replay...Unless somebody has it ready to cut and paste...

On a side note, there was a sneeky little guy (who shot steel targets at PSC in the 80's and 90's) who used to be able to shoot the gnat off a dogs nose at 100 meters (and not bother the dog), who carried a little .22 derringer for defensive purposes, that I'd feel extremely comfortable being around...

However, I seem to recall our neighbors to the north (OK) have a maximum caliber of .45.

If you travel there, leave your .475's, .480's, and .50's at home.

Not that I'd have a problem with carrying something like these firearms...

But geesh!!! Even for practice...It just cain't be fun to shoot!!! It just cain't!!!

If someone had a lot of money they didn't need, the .50 GI 1911 might be fun.

I really did want a Ruger Alaskan for a while, and it comes in .480 Ruger.
I admit I was considering getting it in .454, as a heavy platform for .45 Colt.

I don't see their law as too much of a limitation.

The smallest caliber you may qualify with is a .32 - there is no minimum caliber requirement when you carry.

Not to me... I talk 9MM carry 9 MM and Shoot 9 MM. I only own 1 handgun but my next hand gun will probably be a 9MM , but it definitely wont be a 1911 or a 38 cal.

If you can conceal it, you can carry it. The key word is CARRY. The smallest gun with you, beats the biggest gun you don't have with you everytime.

You're right...Thats what it was...

I just never really intended to carry anything smaller than a 9mm anyway, so I didn't ever worry about pushing back that envelope...
