Here's one of the DPS range in Florence. Session of CHL instructors on the firing line
Recently, I saw a bunch of DPS officers on the Centeral Texas R&P range in Waco. Found out they were going through routine re-qualification. It seems that the new Range in Florence is drawing noise complaints. The nearest neighbors are about 2 miles away and the hugh berms should do much to abate noise. According to the trainer, the complains are mainly about night exercises.
Florence used to be a backwater with nothing but ranches. Now some of the San Antonio Rich have advanced the city along the paved road. There are not very many of them as yet but apparently they are used to getting their way
