Some of the anti's comments in the poll are hilariously ignorant.

A good read, thanks for posting.

Someone needs to tell Jim that Florida has had this law on the books for more than a few years.

Thanks for the article posting. It was a good read.

I took the poll at the end and 74% say CHL laws make them feel more safe. However, I noticed that the vast majority of written comments come from the Anti's. I think they are just much more vocal than those of us that have our CHL and keep that fact quiet. We are taught concealed means also not telling everyone, so they have an automatic advantage when given the opportunity to speak out.

I was actually coming here to post this article, glad someone beat me to it. I found the title a little ham-fisted, but the article itself is very even handed when presenting the facts. Also, it makes me laugh when the Anti's start responding to pro carry articles. They seem to be screaming even in their typing. :patriot:

Kristen Rand, legislative director for the Violence Policy Center, a gun-control group, said the movement “has to do with selling more guns.” While it was pushed by groups like the NRA, it also “dovetailed with the gun industry’s desperate need to find a new market.”

...“The industry constantly has to look for a way to make a guy who already owns 15 guns buy a new one.”

This is one of the funniest comments I've read...firearm manufacturers do not have to twist my arm to buy a new gun. :drool: The legislative director quoted is clearly clueless to the motivation of gun owners and collectors.

Interesting read, thanks for posting the link.

Well obviously it is because the mere presence of a gun prohibits all rational thought. We're all brainwashed by pieces of steel and/or plastic. :smilelol5:

I like this paragraph;

The highest gun homicide rate is in Washington, D.C., which has had the nation’s strictest gun-control laws for years and bans concealed carry: 20.50 deaths per 100,000 population, five times the general rate. The lowest rate, 1.12, is in Utah, which has such a liberal concealed weapons policy that most American adults can get a permit to carry a gun in Utah without even visiting the state.

:headscratch :banghead:
Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.

but at the same time, the writers don't see that correlation. Amazing how biased they can be, even when they think they aren't being bias LOL

A surprisingly and refreshing article; especially, when one considers that it comes from the POTUS' propaganda ministry.

I like this one from an anti:
I know people who are licensed to carry and most of them I would never trust around my daughter.
Yeah, because deep down inside that anti knows what the ladies like: Superior firepower
