I've personally known two murder victims. Insofar as we know, each was killed by a stranger.
Original CHL: 2000: 56 day turnaround
1st renewal, 2004: 34 days
2nd renewal, 2008: 81 days
3rd renewal, 2013: 12 days

Me too - they were both on AA11 and I'm sure they didn't know the BG's.

But how many assault victims have you known, who might have been justified in shooting attackers? Robbery victims? Rape victims?

I'm sorry that you lost two friends to murder, but that isn't much of a statistical sample.
