WA State chl???

#1

Post by attila79 »

I may be moving to WA state pending my interview for grad school goes well. Since they don't recognize our chl (TX) do you guys know it its possible or know of a instructer that I can get my WA state ch locallyl?

I know in the past I have read here of TX residents were able to get a Utah chl from a instructor here locally. So I wanted to see if it would be possible to a WA state chl.

Residents have to apply in person at your local sheriff's office or police department. I believe nonresidents can apply in person at any SO or PD in WA. No class IIRC. I have heard turnaround times from weeks to same day, depending on where you apply.

This is correct. I have a friend just north of Seattle.
He walked in to his local Sherrif's office and was out in 10 minutes with his CHL.
I'm not sure what he might have had to give then other than his DL.
But it was a whole lot easier than TX CHL.
In fact, he got his while I had been waiting for 3 months just to irritate me.
It worked.
