Compact 40. It's more comfortable more of the time. However, now that its cooler, 45 more often cuz I can conceal it better with jackets etc.

.40 is all I've carried. I chose the .40 for the balance of power and round capacity.

Re: POLL: What Caliber Do You Carry The Most?
That was my thinking when I bought my first two handguns (both in .40).C-dub wrote:I chose the .40 for the balance of power and round capacity.
I got the .45 when I felt a need for a smaller more concealable pistol. I wanted a single stack for the smaller grip. And the difference in capacity between a single stack .40 and a single stack .45 is little or none. So I got the .45 figuring that if I'm going to have fewer shots, I might as well punch a bigger hole.
Still love the .40 though.

.45 ACP here, about 65% of the time — although I also own a .40 that I carry most of the rest of the time.

Ever since I bought my S&W 642 I have stuck it in my pocket more than any other gun I own. It's just too easy to have it all the time. With +P LSWHP I feel it will do the trick.

2" .38 special loaded with Federal Nyclad 125 gr HP or Gold Dot short barrel. This is my "always" gun it rides almost unnoticed in a pocket holster. Now for my "big" gun it is a 40 cal M&P this is my 90% gun because 90% of the time I have it too. Notice I said too not instead.

I am a little surprised about that. I thought it would be 9mm with .40 and .45 coming in 2nd and 3rd.dicion wrote:Good to see .45ACP Leading the pack! Lol

I would have voted for 9mm, but it wasn't an option.
I imagine the option of .9mm is factory ammunition only as it would be a bear to reload. Drop the bullet and it would be like finding a needle on the floor

got carried away with the standard system and didn't notice that one on the metric.
I'm also scratching my head about .45acp leading, thought 9mm or .40 would be in the lead.
Good info guys/gals keep it up!!
