Funny you should mention that; last year the company decided to go to a lease program for our work trucks and just so happened to save a lot of money by getting us all 2WD trucks instead of the 4wd's we had. It's really nuts and they are not going to save money in the long run, as we have to beat on these trucks to get them where we need to go. I'd hate to be the one that has to try turning in one of our lease trucks at the end of a lease. On that note; I strongly advise not ever buying a truck that was previously owned by an oil company.dihappy wrote:Little off topic, but i was wondering when you said you were having trouble on the road, what were you driving?

Funny thing is, I have a lifted and locked Toyota Tacoma at the house along with a lifted Jeep YJ; both of which will run circles around this ford in the woods.

Thankfully you can carry a gun out in the field. I'm "defenseless" at our field offices, and our home office, not to mention the fact that our safety guys and auditors as well, and we actually go out in the field and check on rigs.... out in the boonies, such as you described. It's a very good thing for you that you didn't have to go past the threshold you already set for yourself, and pull your gun to try and stop the guy, considering, as you said, looked like a typical crack-head and would do anything to get out of his "cornered position". Praying for you and that the guy will get busted.
