Multi State legal website

#1

Post by Hi Plainsman »

Does anyone know of a website that contains info regarding the carry laws of other states? I travel for business and plan on carrying when out of state (to states with TX and UT reciprocity). I figured while I wait for Texas to process my app, i could brush up on the laws pertaining to the states I travel to most.

Thanks in advance for any info.

http://www.handgunlaw.us/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can't personally vouch for the accuracy of this site, but it contains links to each state's laws that you can examine for yourself.

There's also this book, which is printed on paper and costs actual money: http://www.gunlaws.com/travel.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It has the advantage of being written by a lawyer.

Good luck on your travels.

If you are looking for specifics for any particular state, the link Jim and Crossfire gave you is a good ones. If you simply want to know which states recognize your Texas and Utah licenses, the Reciprocity map that Ryan did for us is great. It indicates which states recognize both Utah and Florida licenses.

Here is the link to the reciprocity map. http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... 10&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks Linda or Marty, that is what I was looking for.

I think this was mentioned in Saturdays class, but I was being fingerprinted or otherwise distracted.
