Ok here's my question I go to college currently in Lubbock at Texas Tech, but I live in Austin as my permanent address is that going to be a problem with regards to the CHL?

What does your Driver's License, Voter's Registration and Draft Card list as your address?

Yessir! I'm proud of my age. As the late Richard Pryor once said, "...the cemetarys are full of smart young (you know what he said)...". :tiphat: That said, I don't recall ever having to ask where I lived. :biggrinjester:

I ran into this same issue. Since you must put all addresses where you have lived for them to do all the background checks, including your school address, they will more than likely put your school address on your CHL. This same thing happened to me even though I put my permanent address as my parent's house. When I called about it they told me that since I was residing at my school address that is the address that must be on my CHL. So I just went and got my driver's license changed to match my CHL. Hope that helps you!
8-10-08: CHL class taken
8-15-08: Mailed application
8-18-08: Received in Austin
9-3-08: PIN received - Processing Application
10-6-08: Application Completed - license issued or certificate active- 7 weeks after received!
10-10-08: Plastic received!!!!!!!!! 2 months to the day after class!!!

There may very well be again soon, based on the behavior of N. Korea, Russia, and Iran.

Maybe I SHOULD get an AK-47. Won't be a shortage of ammo lying around for those weapons if the balloon goes up. :fire

Sumbuddy must not have tried to get any 7.62 X 39 ammo lately. ;-)

They haven't had a draft but they still require young men to register for the draft. They call it "Selective Service" now. They also say "PTSD" instead of "shell shock" now.

I think it's worthwhile to become familiar with the manual of arms for common weaponry but I don't see a need to own one. I figure if the invaders are carrying ammo they're probably also carrying a firearm to shoot it.
