2.5... because it's been a couple of years since I attended any defensive training. I am a member of a range and try to go as often as I can.

edited to add: Lots of skilled and experienced folks on here.

I'm at 4. I've practiced weekly since about 1982, attended several training classes and had one on one training from some pretty experienced folks, shot local IPSC matches for a few years in the early 90's and have been shooting 1-2 IDPA matches nearly ever week since 2/06.

I feel I am pretty skilled in some areas but definitely lacking in others. The areas that need the most work tend to get neglected because it's human nature to only want to practice what we're good at.
I continually tell myself that the purpose of practicing is to improve what needs improving.

So far, there hasn't been a single IDPA match that I've attended that only required me to do what I am best at. 3 targets getting double taps at close range, I've got that covered. The same 3 targets while moving from cover to cover with innocent bystanders in the way is a whole different story. Shooting local matches is really the only way to get that kind of practice unless you own your own range.

Speaking of, I remember when I was at level 0... Had to rent/borrow a gun at the range because I didn't have one of my own.

Level 2 through 4, with a couple of approaches to 5 that ended without shots fired.

100% a level 2, but I hope to advance later this year or next.

I guess I'd say I'd be about 4.75, having been to several great training facilities, and have shot matches, although neither in recent years. I hope that I never reach level 5, but should the ball go up, I hope that I am able to rise to the task. I continue to train both mentally and physically, I don't think that part can ever stop.

I used to be level 4, but due to financial realities I've been at #1 for a couple years.

Can I bump mine up a bit, being a former LEO that has pulled and pointed my weapon at people under stressful situations? Maybe I short-changed myself. ;-)

I do shoot IDPA matches, so that makes me Level 4, BUT, I will also admit that I feel like I do not have enough formal training. Then again, you can NEVER have too much training.

I'm at level 2 but working my way up the chart, hopefully stopping at a level 4!
