If you didn't sign up online, you will have to wait until you receive you PIN. At that time, you can go to the DPS website and enter your information. It will tell you that your application is being processed.

Then click Continue. The next page has a link to Track the Status of your Application.
Be sure to click the one in the top section. The bottom section is for checking the status of a CHL Instructor certificate.

I'm trying to remember if it's a nondescript envelope from the DPS, or a postcard. Maybe a nondescript envelope with a card inside.

I turned in my packet at the headquarters office on the January 26th
I mailed mine on the same day. they recived it on the 28th.

Have you recived your pin yet? i havent :waiting:

well have to see who gets the plastic first! My bets on ME!!

I applied on line and the my package was received in Austin according to the USPS about 2 weeks ago. My status still shows as packet mailed to applicant. At what point to I need to start getting worried and call about the status?

Give it Another month. I think I heard the time to update initial status is something like 3-6 weeks.

they received mine the 28th i think, and i got my pin in the mail 3 or 4 days ago
