Am I anti-gun?

The NRA has a LOT of work to do to improve itself, but I decided I won't encourage them to do it by not giving 'em at least a BIT of money, so I did.

They still get my dander up at times, but then again, so does about every advocacy org I belong to.

Except for the EFF. They rock.

They may not be anti-gun but they are not as pro-gun as they could be.

Millions of members pay their dues to the gun orgs and the slackers reap the benefits.

JK. Welcome to the NRA. Remember that without the second ammendment, the rest of our rights will come down like dominoes. Ask any Jewish person who managed to survive the Nazi regime. Hitler ran his campaign on a platform of "change" too. Look what they got.

You would be shocked to know the number of gun owners that are not NRA members. We need to gently encourage them to join.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I am/was one of them. I just mailed in my app to the NRA, so that will soon change.

I am one of them not a member of the NRA. I have my reasons Meanwhile I'm involved in other ways.

Not to worry, you are in the majority (gun owners who do not have membership). I am sure your reasons are good ones and you will never be treated like a "Leper" here for following your convictions.
