The NRA has a LOT of work to do to improve itself, but I decided I won't encourage them to do it by not giving 'em at least a BIT of money, so I did.

They still get my dander up at times, but then again, so does about every advocacy org I belong to.

Except for the EFF. They rock.

I had this discussion with a coworker, and I really liked the response I gave him:

No, you're not anti-gun. You're wrong, but you're not anti-gun :D

They may not be anti-gun but they are not as pro-gun as they could be.

Millions of members pay their dues to the gun orgs and the slackers reap the benefits.

JK. Welcome to the NRA. Remember that without the second ammendment, the rest of our rights will come down like dominoes. Ask any Jewish person who managed to survive the Nazi regime. Hitler ran his campaign on a platform of "change" too. Look what they got.

You would be shocked to know the number of gun owners that are not NRA members. We need to gently encourage them to join.

Thanks, to all here that have recently joined the NRA or TSRA. :tiphat:
I'm embarrassed to admit that I am/was one of them. I just mailed in my app to the NRA, so that will soon change.

Thank You very much Sir! I greatly appreciate your effort to help tow the barge.

I am one of them not a member of the NRA. I have my reasons :totap: Meanwhile I'm involved in other ways.
Not to worry, you are in the majority (gun owners who do not have membership). I am sure your reasons are good ones and you will never be treated like a "Leper" here for following your convictions.

Thank You.... for supporting gun owners and RKBA in other ways. :tiphat:

Likewise I stay away from the NRA. If I were going to join a gun org. it would be Gun Owners of America

OK, then go ahead and join Gun Owners Of America!

As least you would be doing something.

As far as I'm concerned, GOA will never get another penny from me.

Please join. It's always good to be an advocate for your gun rights. It's your financial support that helps others be an advocate in your cause.
