Man apparently accidently shoots himself working on his truck. I wonder if it was in a holster?

That's a real shame. Totally (and easily) preventable too.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

Weapon in a toolchest hardly classifies as CHL.

This is why when I am carrying, regardless if it's on my hip, in a briefcase, in a compartment in my truck, or any other method, the handgun must be in a holster designed for that specific handgun and it must cover the trigger.
