Strange, the persons shot are hispanic. Not really his SOPstevie_d_64 wrote:The local news this morning had a short bit that focused on our buddy Quannel X getting his weekly dose of attention...
Him and his ilk stood in front of Mr. Horns house and had a press conference basically wondering where the investigation and proceedings were going???
They know exactly what is going on, and they obviously want to flame this up as much as they can...
Pathetic!

Yep, a pillar of society...(sarcasm mode off)Doug.38PR wrote:What's Quannell X doing nosing around there? I thought the goons that were killed were Hispanic (one was Puerto Rican or Cuban I think). Or is he now demanding "equal opportunity" for all gutter trash, regardless of race? Well, regardless, he's in good company as he is nothing more than a lowlife himself:

I remember seeing him shove down an old man on the news years ago with two armed goons with AR-15s standing at his sides
He is nothing without his entourage though...
But then again his involvement is nothing more than an annoyance to that neighborhood and to this incident...He has nothing to offer that will resolve anything with this case...

Mars had a question about this the other night while we were watching the news. He questioned how it was that the black burglars had Spanish surnames and were from the Carribbean.
Understand that, during the 1600s-1800s, the African slave trade was rampant in in the Carribbean as well as the U.S. After obtaining freedom, former slaves either intermarried or simply took on the family names of their former captors, as was common here.
The two home burglars are likely decendants of both Spanish and African immigrants.
Having taught African-American/black students of Spanish ancestry, I can tell you that most identify themselves as primarily black.
I believe Quanel X is upset because the home burglars were, in his opinion, black. I'm doubtful that he would be defending their honor if they weren't. IMO, that's racism.

Mainly, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico are a stones throw away from each other, and since Christopher Colombus discovered Dominican Republic (Hispaniola), then the official language since 1492 has been SPANISH. That is really why almost everyone on both islands have a spanish surname. Puerto Rico only became a US territory in last couple decades.Venus Pax wrote:Mars had a question about this the other night while we were watching the news. It looks like Mr. X is diversifying. I'm still waiting to see him come to the defense of a white man. There are plenty of downtrodden of every race and ethnicity, yet Mr. X tends to support only one group. And what's worse is he defends them no matter the circumstances.
In my opinion, blindly defending someone based on the color of their skin is racism in a nutshell.
On the original subject, we need more Mr. Horns!

Citizenship....
If they are from Puerto Rico then they are citizens (If they were born after 1917)I got $20 bucks on the dead robbers being illegal aliens! Crying or Very sad
But I don't care if they are or not.. Burglars are criminals and they deserve what they got.
Cubans, Hondurans, Panamanians, Colombians, Ecuadorians, etc., tend to be black as well as Hispanic. (Not all, but a sizable portion.)Lucky45 wrote:Mainly, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico are a stones throw away from each other, and since Christopher Colombus discovered Dominican Republic (Hispaniola), then the official language since 1492 has been SPANISH. Some things of sentimental value can not replaced in anyway. We do not know what these BG's had stolen. There is always two sides to every story. And we will probably NEVER know the othere because they are DEAD.
At 3:28 and on he said they were on their way it did not say they were there.
I found it at http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?secti ... id=5538780. They were not there before that. Sounds like he went out the front door and shot them.
If I am going to go see which way they were going I am not going to outside with out my gun. And he did say in the begining they had a crowbar.
We all can sit here and say what we would do in a situation, but to be honest no one knows what they would do until they are faced with it.
And if the BG's were not found in the back or front yard of the house that was being robbed. That means they were still trying to get away after the guy shot them.
From a medical stand point if they would have not ran off they might have been able to saved. When you run, your heart beats faster then if you just layed there.
What if the guy that was being robbed did not have insurance? Some things can not replaced. We can analyze this till we all die.
You break in to my house you have just put me and my children's safety in danger. Oh by the way. People do not always need a weapon to kill somebody. Don't believe me talk to the people that have been choked to death with someone's bare hands. Oh yeah you can't they are dead.
IMO I am not going to wait till they have there hands around my throat or my childs before I shot them. The first movement you make towards me or my children, you will be leaving my house in a body bag. I would rather sit in prison and know my family is safe then wonder the What If's.

Actually, not true. We know one of them had a large sack full of cash. He stole it from the house. The wonderful news here is 2 less burglars on the streets, and we don't have to pay for their jail time. Win/win, and good riddens to rubbish.
