Jury duty
I'm sure they don't want anyone carrying to jury duty but what about pocket knife etc.? Probably just best to wear a Jethro belt and leave everything at home.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

Re: Jury duty
Gun carry is off limits as far as I know. Not sure about the knife though. Another irritating thing, to lose your 2A Right and ability to defend yourself for Jury Duty. #barf

Re: Jury duty
In Tarrant County, no weapons of any kind allowed past the metal detectors. Includes knives.
I've asked a Judge when they plan to add a civilian gun check to their building. Got a polite reply that equated to "never".

Re: Jury duty
Just got an email from them saying no knives, mace, tasers, silverware or knitting needles. I guess they figure all that combines to imply no guns which they don't specifically mention. Oh, and they say wear socks as you have to turn in your shoes at the check station.

Re: Jury duty
I suppose since it's a NO GO by law anyway they assumed people, especially LTC holders would know.. But you would think now with Constitutional Carry they would update that....LDB415 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 9:47 am Just got an email from them saying no knives, mace, tasers, silverware or knitting needles. Re: Jury duty
My understanding is that guns/knives are prohibited in the courtrooms.

Re: Jury duty
Last time I had jury duty in Tarrant County, they took a nail file away from me. Those folks are serious.

Re: Jury duty
Just had jury duty on Monday, Denton County.
Posted for no guns, knives or any weapons.
Went thru a metal detector.
I set it off due to the metal in my neck.
THen got the wand treatment.

I had jury duty several years ago where I removed all my EDC except a minimag flashlight. Yep, they confiscated it!

Nice designs, but at those prices I'll just buy a G10 grip blank and make my own.RoyGBiv wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:41 pmCool!carlson1 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 11:51 am G-10 make some nice daggers.

Get a cane. AFAIK, they cannot refuse or confiscate a walking cane due to the ADA. They aren't supposed to even ask why you have a cane.
