Got my CHL renewal in the mail

#1

Post by Bubba »

Did the class mid October and mail the packet to DPS 11-2-2005. I never called or bothered them since I started early (expiration is March 2006) on the renewal process. Received it last night (1-3-2006) in the mail and now I'm good until 2011.
Hooooo Raaaaa for DPS !
:)

Why is 62 days considered excellent turnaround?

I agree that it is pretty cood considering the holidays and how many folks were probably out of the office during Thanksgiving and Christmas - but the fact that we are aplauding them for this instead of expecting better disturbs me.

You said it yourself. "The Holidays". We had Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Years during that 62 days.

I agree with the sentiment... 62 days should be "understandable" because of the holidays. Instead, we've come to expect DPS to blow the 60 day time limit right out the window, without a care, without penalty.

I'm just pleased they didn't nit pick it to death :)
Like rejecting fingerprints or photos not placed exactly right, etc.
That's why I started 5 months before my expiration.
