Renewal Experience Question

#1

Post by Oldgringo »

My CHL doesn't expire for 6 months but I renewed on line today anyway. They have my money, my check list acknowledgment said they'd try to use my exiting photo and fingerprints. There were no items listed as outstanding as far as I could ascertain?

So, what has been the timetable for the renewed license when one uses the on-line re-up, anybody know? I expect we'll get a similar renewal notice for Mrs. Oldgringo's CHL any day now.

Last month, 19 days.

I predict the folks waiting to renew after Sep 1st are in for long lines.

Renewed in July 21 and received it on the Aug. 5 or 7, so it didn't take long.
On Sept. 1st the rates change. This made little if any difference for me so I just renewed before the expected rush in Sept.

For my wife's renewal earlier in August, it was about 10 days.

I sent in my renewal on 25 August and new license arrived today. That's only some 16 calendar days....like WOW! I reckon I start carrying the new one now?

Mrs. Oldgringo's renewal notice showed up last week and she wants to renew so let's see how speedy hers is?

Unless something unusual pops up, you should come in way under your six-month deadline.

Mine is up for renewal in little under 6 months. I just submitted the renewal online today. They'll attempt to use prints on file it said. I'll post an update once it is processed.

20 days total, not bad.

70 days on my Daughter's and we are still waiting.

No additional information requested, no contact from them.

Status unchanged.
