We've read a lot of posts on here about people, particularly business owners, not understanding what an 06 sign was really about and who it applied to, not understanding what an LTC is, and general public naivete about concealed carry. But sometimes somebody says something that just sort of makes you shake your head and wonder what we're really up against, and how far we have to go.
I was recently reading a Facebook page where somebody wanted to CC into a store. It had an 06 sign. After leaving his weapon in his car, he asked the business owner why he posted the 06 sign. The business owner replied, "because I don't want to get robbed."
Sigh.... sometimes a few words say a lot.

I'm still trying to think of a good comeback for that.Ruark wrote:We've read a lot of posts on here about people, particularly business owners, not understanding what an 06 sign was really about and who it applied to, not understanding what an LTC is, and general public naivete about concealed carry. I would have told him if he didn't want to get robbed, he should take the .06 down and allow law abiding citizens to carry to minimize loss of any of he gets robbed. I got a .06 taken down at our local corner store, and the reason he put it up was a similar misunderstanding.

I would have asked him, "Then why did you put up a sign that says. "We're disarmed. Rob us!!!""?

I truly think that there's a lot more of them businesses that think that same thing, nobody has educated them. That's why it's our job to spread that believe is backwards.
