Do you carry at home?
When you get home, do you unholster and put your gun away? Or maybe keep it fairly close by? I'm not fishing for any information that would violate any law about keeping guns locked up and safe from children. That's not the intent of this question, so please don't go there. Just wondering how prepared other CHL/LTC people like to be in their own homes. For instance, if someone breaks down my front door by surprise I would prefer to have a gun on my person rather than in the safe, or the bedroom. Given that context, do you keep your gun on at home?
I'm new, so if I'm breaking protocol here let me know and delete the question.

Re: Do you carry at home?
The majority of the time I do not. However, if I am going to be coming and going throughout the day, I keep my gun on.
Even when I do not have a gun on, I have several staged throughout the house that are hidden but easily accessible if needed. Bottom line, I am never far from a weapon for defense.
We live about 20 minutes from town. Calling for help does no good if things go south.

LEO response for me is at least 20 minutes away. Even if they weren't, a few seconds can make a world of difference. My family doesn't always agree, but I carry until bedtime. Just wondering if I am alone.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

My EDC is either on my person or within 10 feet 99.8+% of the day.

I carry at home too. I would like to get an OWB holster though and make it a bit easier/comfortable.

Re: Do you carry at home?
The only time I don't carry at home is when I'm in the shower. I might bring it in the bathroom with me when I get my firearm refinished.

Re: Do you carry at home?
I usually keep my gun holstered and on me after I get home. Just a force of habit....if I put it down, its on my table by the safe or on top of the safe until bed time. Then at bed time it goes in my night stand in a lock box.

As long as I am not watching or close handling the grandkids when here. If just me and wife, I consider the home, especially at night, the most likely time I might need it.
