Question: Austin PD headquarters still has OLD PC46 language on their doors, along with other references. I don't have a picture available, but given that this law is focused on invalid 30.06, would that apply, too?

I have been at this place for a long time. If you read my prior posts, you can see the full story.

I was passing by yesterday and didn't have time to type up and notarize an official complaint. I did drop off a copy of SB 273 and said I would return the next day to drop off an official complaint if the sign was not removed.

I return today after lunch, still there. I buzz the front door to let me so that I could talk to HR (Kieth Hardcastle...I guess he was promoted). This time, they wouldn't let me in the door saying that they only allow people to enter if they have an appointment. This is NOT A PLANT, just an office. I asked to make an appointment with anyone, including the janitor. She said I would have to wait for Mr. Hardcastle. This was at 1pm, I was told I would have to wait until 2:30 when I might have a chance to talk to him.

I sat right outside the door waiting. I waited an hour when I look back at the door, and the sign was gone.
No official complaint filed. Just a copy of SB 273 and stubbornness.

I believe it would. Base Charles' and others' comments, I believe it applies to any and all no gun signs posted by government agencies.

Mr. Hardcastle just contacted me back to let me know I could use him as a contact on my complaint. I guess he was unaware the signs were removed. I let him know I no longer needed to file a complaint as the signs were no longer up. All I wanted was the signs to be removed. He replied "Well John, you win". Yes sir....I did.

Good job. Don't be surprised if your sewer line backs up all the sudden.:

I was hoping he would let me talk to him in person. He was adamant about having a right to have the sign earlier. Supposedly (back when I was fighting it orignally) he called State Attorney General's office and they gave him an immediate answer of it being enforceable.

I was really wanting to tell him to call the AG again for clarification.
