Just got out of CHL class today in Lufkin TX it was great. I am looking at getting a XD45 what is the best concealment gun and holster. If someone has another 45 they recommend let me know. As far as holsters go I am 5 10 and 250 lbs I work in a office setting. I need to know the best holster for concealing while wearing dockers and have to tuck shirt in.

I have an XDS I carry in a Tommy Theis horsehide with kydex. The XDS is great, thin and easy to conceal. The Tommy Theis is similar to the Crossbreed, but a bit cheaper and faster turn around time.

I carry an XDm .45 compact comfortably everyday in a Crossbreed Supertuck. It's by far the most comfortable and concealable holster I own. I know Butcher's and White Hat make similar style holsters with quicker manufacturing times and a little cheaper. Definitely check out this style holster if you go for a larger frame gun.

I far prefer to carry OWB at 3:30 but when I need to get a little dressier with a tucked in shirt, I go Kangaroo Carry. Only downside I've found with the Kangaroo is it's a little hot in the summer but if you are in an office setting, that wouldn't be much of a factor.

This is my first comment but was browsing the forum, saw this question, and had to sign up...I'm awaiting plastic (should be soon) but had browsed holsters for a LONG time before I bought. My Chl instructor said a GOOD QUALITY holster, is almost as important as the firearm itself....so after ALOT of research, ordered a crossbreed supertuck and belt. I COULD NOT BE MORE SATISFIED!!! I've been wearing it around the house and in my truck, to break it in. I travel 6hrs to work in west tx, and feel NO discomfort at the end of the drive! I carry at 4o'clock...did I mention I carry the Glock 35!? I literally forgot I had it on the other day...the ONLY occasional discomfort is when driving, If I forget to loosen the belt a hole, it digs into my gut...but I'm fat and all belts do that. I'm not a spokes person for crossbreed, but felt compelled to share...white hat holsters makes a similar holster, a bit cheaper and the ONLY reason I didn't get it, is because I didn't find it till I had bought the CB....

+1 on the belt. Just as important as the holster.

Not in west Texas. I have seen them showing up at gun shows in the DFW area for around $600. There are also a couple web stores that have them for $525 - $560. Oh, just to be fair, one user here that is selling his for $650. :confused5

Just picked my XD-s up from Academy today for $549. I picked the Tucker Texas Heritage IWB for my holster. It's being made at the moment, but I've only heard good things and am excited to get it in.
