Checking in, nearly six months since my CHL

The first month after recieving my CHL I felt like I had everyone attention everytime I went somewhere public, sometime even in my garage if I had the door open. After the 2nd month it became more normal for me. Now it is habbit. I once walked down to the mail box a couple of blocks over to retrieve my mail and before I left the house had made the decision not to take my weapon. Call me paranoid, but I felt naked without my gun on my side. I even felt like I was walking funny. lol

That said, when I have it on now a days I forget it's even there. I am aware of it condition, chambered. However just like my wallet I don't give it any thought unless I'm in a tight area with lots of people brushing up against me, or if I have to raise my arms to grab something high. (Shirt raising over the holster).

I am still the same person I was last year, no bloated ego or anything like that, but I do feel safer when I walk into a 7-11 at 3am in the morning. As always, I hope the time never comes where I actually have to use my weapon.
