When Young Guns Invade

#1

Post by Razgriz »

Hello everyone, found this site when I was searching for the Cheaper Than Dirt Guns site, looked like a fun place to be. Now to the bad news, I'm 19, so no concealed carry for me (Q.Q), but I wanted to know everything I could about the CHL scene by the time I'm old enough to carry. Most likely I'll just be lurking around, but I thought you would like to know I'm here.

Welcome! It's nice to see the next generation of responsible gun owners learning all they can before us old coots move on. You picked a great place to learn!

Yep, and here's my first question: would a CZ-75 (the 1st handgun I'm looking at buying when the time is right) be a good CCW? For those of you unfamiliar with it, here it is: http://cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-75-b/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Check out the CZ P01. It's a compact and easier to carry. CZ is a very fine gun.

The CZ 75 is heavy but it's a good gun.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.

I've heard that it was a heavy gun, but when I got a chance to hold it, I didn't think it was all that heavy, but it's nice to know that you guys like it.

I'd recommend this model:

http://cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-75-d-pcr-compact/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's nearly the same size as my 4" 1911's, with a 14+1 capacity.

Often, a gun that isn't that heavy in the hand, is really heavy after having it on your belt all day long.

I think if you can hit what you aim at and conceal it then it is a good choice, other than that it is just what you think looks good and can afford. I bought mine with out even knowing the brand I just told the clerk I wanted a .45 he should me 2 , I ended up buying a Glock did not even know it until I looked at the case a week later and it said G lock then then light went on. I bought it cause I liked the way it looked and felt, not the best way to pick a gun but I am happy.

This is very true, but the PCR model would be considerably lighter than the 75b due to size and the fact that the 75b frame is steel and the PCR frame is aluminum alloy.
