Howdy!
This looks like the best place to post an introduction. Have been shooting since I was 6 years old. My dad gave me my first shotgun (crack barrel .410 single shot Winchester) when I was 8 and then a Remington 1100 12 ga. for my 13th birthday. Other than a couple of yearly hunting trips, I wasn't into collecting and shooting until my 20's. Currently (at 51), I'm a Patron Life Memeber of the NRA, have had a Texas CHL since they were available, and have a nice little collection of various firearms. I don't get out to the range as much as I would like; mostly due to travel for work. Really glad I found this site to help clear up a lot of questions I often have and dispell a lot of the rumors floating around. Thanks to all involved and for the information you share.

Actually RJ, I didn't know this site existed until I stumbled across it searching for the answer to a question a friend asked. I'm generally stuck behind a computer screen most of the day for work and usually the last thing I want to do when not working, is look at one. Working from home today and not constrained by corporate security.
