It's kinda scary that anybody, no matter how long on the job, could do that without some obvious tell. And this guy is a park ranger -- not likely to have a lot of experience with people carrying, or the ability to find out IF they're carrying -- unless he asks everybody! Regular police don't even have that "spidy sense". :leaving

I believe he was a Texas Ranger not a park ranger. And he said he could tell from years of experience. He approached me and quietly asked, he said he had to check if I had a license. It didnt bother me he asked, but did make me conscious of carrying.
