S&W M&P Shield 9mm on the right hip. Spare mag on the left. I've always got a knife on me somewhere as well; usually a Kershaw, Benchmade, or a cheap switchblade.

I almost always show my LTC when asked for ID. I make it a point to be friendly and polite when out and about. I view it as a chance to make a positive impression for gun owners without being confrontational. Make the person think 'Wow, that guy was really nice and friendly, and he probably had a gun on him the whole time." About the only exception that comes to mind is if I'm at a bar, because I don't want them to get the wrong idea and think I'm carrying there.
I prefer dangerous freedom to safety in chains.

I got my plastic Thursday and haven't been able to carry and do the "Wally Walk" or Sears Strole" yet. Reason being I can't carry where I work. They really frown on it. See I work in a chemical plant on the east side of Houston. Firearms are a no no in the plants. But I have been enjoying being able to CC my blue gun in my Kangaroo Carry holster. No one has been able to tell that I have it. It's a weighted version of my FNH FNX45. I actually went to a gun show the other day with my rig and the Kagaroo Carry owner couldn't even tell that I had it on. Made me feel good about its concealment.

When i'm not at work, I carry my M&P Sheild 9mm with an Apex Trigger kit in a Warthog QuickTuk IWB Holster. I usually grab what ever license is on top and no one seems to even notice, then again I have gotten a couple odd looks when showing my LTC.

Just got my LTC today. I don't remember learning about needing to present my LTC unless being detained by a peace officer. Why would you present it for beer or cigarettes? What is the advantage? Now buying a gun I get that, it makes the process way quicker. But why for beer or cigarettes?

I present my LTC any time I'm asked for ID. I make it a point to be extra friendly and polite to people when I'm out and about. Letting them know that the nice guy they just met is also carrying a gun is just one small way I try to affect the public's perception of those who take responsibility for their own safety by carrying a firearm.

Well, that makes sense. I wear cargo shorts all summer long. And you can pack a lot of stuff in them. :cheers2:
