A Man That Finds A Friend Is Blessed.

Tomc had invited me to a kinda of slow IDPA match at the Dallas Pistol Club. I have not shot competition shooting since 1988 and because of my health I was kinda of hesitant. I was a little hesitant to go. Highvelocity said he was going, so I thought if nothing else I would just go and visit. Reysc and The Marshal was all there. Justin has never showed any interest in shooting until he decided he wanted to go into LE. I asked him if he would like to go and he jumped at the opportunity. He met Reysc several months ago and he really likes Rey. When he seen Rey and Gary he was excited. I cannot say THANK YOU enough to Tomc, Highvelocity, Reysc, and The Marshall for the way they treated Justin. It was only his second time to ever shoot a pistol and has never competed. It was a blast. They were very very patient with my son as well as this old fat handicap man. Highvelocity and The Marshall was very careful to explain and teach things to Justin. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

Sounds like you guys had a blast... no pun intended. Rey told me about the match yesterday and since he and I need to meet up for an exchange he was hoping I could make it as well. I would have liked to meet you and Justin as well as Rey and Marshall but I had to work of course. As for HV I have been running in to him way too much lately . I can tell you that everyone I have met from the forum has been very helpful and just great to deal with in general. (HV included of course)

I had a great time today with Carlson1, Justin, Reysc, TomC, and The Marshall. Justin and Rey both had that "I just found Pirates treasure" look on their faces. I see a lot more downrange lead in their futures. Extremist was there too but unfortunately got assigned to a different squad. Everyone was safe and shot great. TomC put a lot of thought into the setup of this match and everything ran FLAWLESSLY.

A few folks were unaware that it was a BUG (back-up-gun) match and showed up with full sized pistols but it didn't matter. All the cardboard badguys were eliminated. Repeatedly.

Thanks to TomC and the DPC crew. I hope to get out there more often. What a great club!

I am so glad that all of you made the match and got to shoot with us. Rob Keller (rkeller) and I had a fun time with the match. I also was quite pleased with Justin's new-found ability with firearms. for a very first time shooter, he was exceptionally conscious of safety issues, took his time and did extremely well.

I was so happy to get Carl out to shoot with us. As Carl so eloquently put it, finding new friends is a great pleasure. You guys and gals on the forum have taught me a lot and I am proud to have found you and to call you friends.

HV,
I think I have you narrowed down to the guy in the Texas ball cap. I know all the forum members pictured except you.
Rey taking the pics???
Got to meet you.
Good work TomC

& I am prowd of you for it. There is no doubt in my mind that you would have totally imbarrassed all those men & that is why you did not shoot.

No egos involved this time.. Just a bunch of grown up boys being boys that is why we had so much fun.. The only rules that were obeyed are SAFETY RULES.. Even our great shooter High Velocity played the role!!LOL!
