A friend of 50 years and hunting buddy of mine has had numerous serious life threatening health issues in the last year and has survived them all. We were together at our deer lease last weekend. He had some nausea that couldn't be explained and he took some anti emetic medicine and went home Sunday. Monday he called my brother to alert him to a fall and cut to his forehead. My brother tried to convince him to call 911, but being an obstinate curmudgeon refused and the next morning drove himself to his dialysis center where the staff noticed he was confused and his cognitive ability was seriously degraded. They called 911 and EMT's took him to the local emergency room where he was diagnosed with a brain bleed and was life flighted to San Antonio. He condition has deteriorated to a point that doctors don't think he could survive surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. We are praying his condition will improve enough to allow the surgery and I am asking everyone here for prayers that he will. Thank you.

My prayers for your friend.

My friend passed away this evening. Thank you to those who offered prayers for my friend. I have to believe it is for the best due to the circumstances of his infirmary that would have probably left him with severe mental and physical challenges and is all part of God's plan. I am grateful that just last weekend we were all able to spend a weekend together at our deer camp. Comal county had lifted the burn ban and we had a roaring fire to sit and watch and reminisce on all the years there. I have been there for 29 years and he for 69 years beginning with his family. His ashes will have a place of honor at our camp house.

Like Keith, I just saw this. Prayer lifted up. It's an inevitable cycle of life, but it's never easy for friends and loved ones.
