12/21/2015- Sent in ALL paperwork
1/6/16 - Prints sent off
1/21/16 - Sent in CHL 100 bc apparently it got vaporized
1/21/16 - Confirmation
3/23/16 Received call from DPS that my license was sent to print and should be emailed Monday.

Things to know that most of you already know:
The phone number is worthless. I got through every time I set my mind to it. Then I waited on hold for 30 minutes to get 30 seconds of gibberish that was in no way related to reality. I have friends in the right spots in Austin to twist some arms. I waited for awhile before I finally got frustrated enough with RDS to use them. Last Friday one of them let me know that my FBI check was back and had been for a bit. I called the hotline just for fun and according to whatever person I talked to there, they hadn't even gotten to my app yet and check back in a couple weeks.
Then I got another call that I was sent to print and license would be mailed Monday. Called again for fun and the answer was maybe they had gotten started, but I should wait a 2-3 more weeks and check back.

According to my sources, the call center isn't in communication with the actual office at all. Most of them are temps that just answer the phone and it appears they go off of a script.

For those of you wondering, no, the website has not changed for me.

I have the same confirmation date. Since you actually get through on the phone line, you're doing better than I am. I've never been able to reach a real person... or even be put on hold.

I did, however, contact my state rep and the governor's office and got a call yesterday letting me know that mine is set to print Friday or Monday.

Got an email Saturday stating that license was printed and mailed 3/23. Haven't seen it yet, but maybe today if in fact it was mailed 3/23. I have my doubts that it printed and mailed the same day. Still no website update.
